Sunanda Leelaram, affectionately known as Sunandaji, is the daughter-disciple of Swami A. Parthasarathy. Under Swamiji’s guidance, she has been studying and researching the ancient Indian philosophy of Vedanta for over five decades.
Early Life
Living in an Ashram from the age of 7, Sunandaji has had a truly unique upbringing. While she also pursued a degree of Sociology from Bombay University, her thorough exposure to Vedanta from her early years enabled her to deliver discourses in the subject at a young age.
Gita Jnana Yagnas
Following in Swamiji's footsteps, Sunandaji has been conducting public lectures on the Bhagavad Gita across the globe for over thirty years. Every year, a chapter of the Gita is taught over several evenings in each city. In her discourses, Sunandaji explains the deep philosophical import of the sacred verses and brings the ancient teachings into the context of our modern world. Her practical insights and techniques for self-improvement have been appreciated by audiences the world over.
